This program is age-appropriate for youth ~8-12 years old.

You're a star! The world just doesn't know it yet.

This 1-week interactive program teaches about the realities of doing business online and how to be a social media influencer.

*Camp will take place via zoom from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Learn How to Monetize Your Channel

Workshops include:

  • What does it take to be a YouTube Star?
  • Defining your channel and your audience: Who are you talking to and why should they listen?
  • Quality Counts! Thinking about your production value and set-up.
  • Storyboarding, Scripting, and Introductions: How to Produce Content and Partnerships
  • Making money as a YouTuber: How it Really Works.
  • Friday Share! Show us your video showcasing what you learned this week!


In addition to the workshops, each day youth will be provided an activity and prompt to create a video based on what we learned.

Entrepreneurs & Influencers

Aug 9-20 (via Zoom)

This program is age-appropriate for youth ~13-18 years old and meets the PA State Education Requirements for Entrepreneurship up to 11th grade!

Entrepreneurs & Influencers engages students in learning, discussion, and activities around entrepreneurship and social media influence, providing the practical know-how to actively pursue a life and career as an entrepreneur. 

Students will meet on Zoom Monday through Friday from 1:00-2:30 pm via Zoom.

Intro to Entrepreneurship: Risks, Rewards, Characteristics, and Profiles
Defining Your Business Idea and Competitive Research
Business Opertions, Funding, Income Streams, and Legal Fundamentals
Branding, Communications, Marketing: Your Voice and Visibility

Workshops Include:

Week 1:

  • Into Entrepreneurship. Risks, Rewards, and Characteristics of Entrepreneurs
  • Profiles in Entrepreneurship
  • Defining Your Business Idea
  • Competitive and Market Analysis
  • Nuts and Bolts of Business: Operations, Budgets, Funding, Legal Considerations
  • Manage Your Money: Revenue Streams and Generating Income

Week 2:

  • Marketing, Branding, and Communications: Your Voice and Visibility
  • Social Media Branding and Influence
  • Leading your business: Emotional Intelligence for Entrepreneurs
  • Technology for your business: From free to enterprise scale. 
  • Finding Resources and Partnerships

Each session consists of lesson and discussion topics as well as activities for youth to complete on their own time before the next class. At the end of the course, student work combines to be a Quick Start Business Plan.
